Cornelius David Krieghoff is a Canadian painter of the 19th century. Kriedghoff is most famous for his painting of Canadian life outdoor, which were sought,after in his own time as they are today. He was born June 19th 1815 in Amsterdam Netherlands. He died March 8th 1872 Chicago, Illinos, United States.Cornelius David Krieghoff The third of four children learned rudiments of music and painting from his father.At the age 16 he was sent to relatives at a Schwein Furt, Bavaria,to study painting , he returned to dusseldorf two years later, where his parents had been living since 1815 20; he no doubt studied here works of artists who had been trained its academy.
